Improved hidden surface removal method of animated computer-generated cylindrical hologram

A cylindrical hologram is well known to be viewable in 360 deg. In our previous study, we proposed the computer-generated cylindrical hologram as 360 deg viewable display. We have also proposed an animated computer-generated cylindrical hologram which is calculated by the changing object data according to the viewpoint. However, proposed hologram reconstructs the cross-talk image when the viewing position is away from the hologram plane. Therefore, we have added the virtual window into the calculation method to limit the calculation area for the correct reconstructed image. As a result, the reproduced image was obtained for a good animation. |
