A Study on Direction of Arrival Estimation System for Wide Band Digital Modulated Wave

We studied a direction-of-arrival estimation system using the intermediate frequency (IF) band of the satellite broadcasting, which is a wide band digital modulated wave. We constructed an experimental system that has two receiving antennas and a phase comparator in a radio anechoic chamber to evaluate the estimation accuracy. The estimation accuracy was evaluated by comparing the phase difference obtained from the receiving antennas, which were mounted on the turntable, and the phase difference estimated from the output signal of the phase comparator. As a result, we confirmed that the arrival direction of a wide band digital modulated wave can be estimated with our proposed system. |
