[Invited Talk] Multi-level recording and high speed changing in phase change recording and high packing

(in English) The 2-step-pulse driving of phase change memory for random access memory is reported as one of nonvolatile memories as post flash memory. We introduce both 2nd pulse width control method and 2nd pulse voltage control method. For fast access speed of phase change memory, we show the possibility to achieve fast access memory using GeTe material instead of Ge2Sb2Te5 material as one of typical phase change material. Furthermore, we describe new improved structure of the memory using current confinement method for high packing and small power. Also, we describe perspective of highly packed magnetic disc recording with patterned media.
