Micromagnetic analysis of MAMR recording head -- Oscillation of small-sized STO with small external field --

(in English) A micromagnetic model analysis of a spin-torque oscillator and write head for microwave-assisted magnetic recording was carried out. We assumed an STO with 20 nm × 20 nm area and a write head with a small main pole - trailing shield distance of 20 nm and investigated the conditions under which the STO oscillated stably. First, it was confirmed that a small area STO without a write head oscillated more stably compared with larger area STOs. Second, a STO inserted into the write head gap oscillated when both the write head ? trailing shield gap and the STO were tilted with respect to the medium surface.
