Performance improvement of iterative decoding by LLR modification using parity check information in SMR system

(in English) In recent years, an iterative decoding system using LDPC (low density parity-check) code as a powerful error correction code has been introduced to achieve high recording density recording for HDD (hard disk drive).In this report, we discuss the improvement of iterative decoding by modification of log-likelihood ratio LLR (log-likelihood ratio) in SMR (shingled magnetic recording). The results show that the sector with errors is recovered with error free by modifying LLRs.
