Development and Validation of 8K/120Hz Super Hi-Vision Editting System

(in English) We developed an 8K/120 Hz editing system based on the existing 8K/60Hz editing machine. To realize this system, we developed new frame rate converters functioning between 60 Hz and 120 Hz, and an interface converter to be installed at the input and output of the existing 8K/60 Hz editing machine. In addition, the editing software was modified to ensure that 8K/120Hz video clips can be edited on a 120 Hz timeline. This editing system significantly improved the throughput of the 8K/120 Hz editing workflow by reducing the input/output time. We validated the 8K/120Hz editing function of this system through actual video content editing work.
