[Poster Presentation] Behavior Investigation of Medaka in Omnidirectional Aerial Display Using a Circular Image

(in English) Omnidirectional display, which shows images in all directions, has an advantage to give a viewer a realistic feeling because the surrounding visual images give strong depth cues. We have proposed aerial imaging by retro-reflection(AIRR) to form an aerial information screen with a wide viewing angle and utilized AIRR for an omnidirectional aerial display. However, a distortion problem occurs in the formed aerial image of our developed omnidirectional display.
In this paper, we have performed geometric transformation in order to convert a rectangular image into a circular ring image on the image of the light source. Furthermore, we have also conducted experiments to apply it for the stimulus presentation in behavioral biology using the omnidirectional aerial display. In this study, we have observed reactions of medaka when medaka was surrounded by the omnidirectional aerial images.
