A scan-path simulation model based on a probabilistic saliency map with receptive field properties of early visul system

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The distribution of gaze position while observing natural images has attracted attention as an evaluation index for the design of advertisements or websites and gaze prediction by a mathematical model is expected to be realized. In this study, we proposed a new model which is able to predict scan-paths in free-viewing condition, and evaluated the validity of the model. The proposed model has the antagonistic center-surround response of ON-center and OFF-center receptive fields. The results indicate that the validity of proposed model is superior to any other model, and proposed model is effective for predicting scan-path of free-viewing.
