For the Super Hi-Vision (SHV) terrestrial broadcasting, we are in the process of establishing proposed specification. In order to increase the transmission capacity, the signal bandwidth of the proposed specification is extended from 5.57MHz to 5.83MHz. To transmit the signal with 5.83MHz bandwidth in the UHF band occupied with current terrestrial broadcasting, it is mandatory to avoid interference with current terrestrial broadcasting. In this paper, we investigated the maximum permissible levels of interference caused by the signal with 5.83MHz bandwidth. |
