We examined a method to deliver targeted advertising on TV devices for Japanese terrestrial and satellite broadcasting service. For targeted ad-insertion, we used a method to switch part of the broadcast video to the broadband video using Hybridcast. When presenting the broadband video, to ensure the video quality and stability, we studied a method of additional precache mechanism without modifying the broadband video player. In addition, as a method of personalized advertisements, we also studied viewer participation programs with voice user interface on smartphones that can be applied to link smartphones and TV devices for viewer identification. |
