Proposal of automatic measurement method of swimming speed from Fixed Point Camera Movie for Competitive Swimming

(in English) Recently, there are many attentions to sports information processing. In this paper, we propose a method of swimmer detection and speed calculation from fixed-point race movie. Finally, we succeeded in detecting the swimmer’s area from fixed-point movie and it became possible to recognize it automatically. Moreover, the mean error of swimming speed was 0.13 seconds compared with conventional method.
