Proposal of automatic measurement method of swimming speed from Fixed Point Camera Movie for Competitive Swimming

Recently, there are many attentions to sports information processing. In this paper, we propose a method of swimmer detection and speed calculation from fixed-point race movie. Finally, we succeeded in detecting the swimmer’s area from fixed-point movie and it became possible to recognize it automatically. Moreover, the mean error of swimming speed was 0.13 seconds compared with conventional method. |
