Consideration about the Method to Estimate Efficiency of 3D Images and the Result of Experimental Estimation

(in English) In order to establish a method to estimate the visual psychological effects that are expected to be higher while viewing three-dimensional images than two-dimensional ones, the author has considered about some fundamental impression words that should be used for the estimation. The author decided to use SD method for the estimation, and selected 16 pairs of antonymous impression words as the major candidates; the 16 pairs consist of 8 pairs, which were confirmed to be efficient to evaluate wide view images in the past experiment, and 8 pairs, which would be particularly efficient to evaluate three-dimensional images. As a result of the experimental estimation with the 16 pairs of antonymous impression words for each two-dimensional image and three-dimensional one, it became clear that 8 pairs out of them are highly independent from each other and have high influence in the four major factors. Whole factor scores calculated with the four major factors have significant difference between two-dimensional images and three-dimensional ones.
