Prototype of frequency converter for community antenna television system

(in English) Recently, NHK is promoting to introduce fiber to the home (FTTH) of community antenna television (CATV) system for reducing failure risk and running cost. However, in the case of apartments and hotels etc., there is possibility of repairing facility because of using higher frequency. Therefore, in this report, prototype of frequency converter without repairing facility was developed. As a result, significant reduction in price and size compared with ready-made products was realized. Moreover, it was confirmed that the prototype satisfies required performance due to field experiment.
