Development of 3D Evacuation Simulation and Its Application

(in English) An appropriate evacuation plan is effective in reducing human damage when a disaster occurs. It is difficult to do Large-scale practical experiments to verify the effectiveness of evacuation plans. The purpose of this research is to verify the evacuation plan with a demonstration experiment method using 3D evacuation simulation. In order to realize this method, we created a three-dimensional simulation using geographic information provided by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan, and conducted a tsunami evacuation simulation in the Hashirimizu district Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Pref. As a result, we confirmed that it is possible to do numerical evaluation of the evacuation plan according to the conditions and can contribute to the optimization.
