To support smooth transportation of rapidly increasing foreign visitors to Japan, we examined possibility of movement support in a railway station yard by using image recognition. Through on-site observation, we indicated that a method with scenery image recognition was preferable. In addition, we focused on the place where information was offered to and we made a hypothesis based on the way of thinking that it was desirable to set places intensively where a user need movement support. To evaluate that hypothesis, we made an experiment for foreign visitors at Kintetsu Nara Station. As a result of the experiment, we confirmed that movement support by using recognition of scenery image was more likely to be technically feasible. Furthermore, we also confirmed that the hypothesis regarding the place where information was offered to had adequate validity. |
