An autoregressive mathematical model for reproducing the neuronal spiking responses
Suguru Hirai (Kindai Univ.), Akihiro Masaoka (Tamagawa Univ.), Takeshi Kohama (Kindai Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematical model of neural activity that can share mathematical expressions from both macroscopic and microscopic viewpoints, and to help understand the higher-order functions of the brain from both viewpoints. We extended the autoregressive neural response model proposed by Masaoka & Kohama and proposed a model that can reproduce various spike responses of a single neuron. As a result of comparing the proposed model with the Izhikevich model, which is known to be highly reproducible as a single neuron model, the proposed model was able to obtain an output similar to Izhikevich model. These results indicate that the proposed model can sufficiently reproduce various spike responses of neurons
