Eu3+ activated red multi-anion compound phosphors, such as Y4Si2O7N2:Eu3+ (YSON), La2O3:Eu3+ (LO) and LaOF:Eu3+ (LOF), have been synthesized. Photoluminescence (PL) temperature dependences of these phosphors have been measured. From the results, the activation energy ΔE has been estimated to be 0.08 eV for YSON, 0.12 eV for LO, 0.11 eV for LOF. It is considered that the ΔE value corresponds to the charge transfer state (CTS) energy from 4f ground state, that is, 3.66 eV for YSON, 4.37 eV for LO, 4.53 eV for LOF. |
