In the future broadcasting satellite system, it is considered to make use of 21 GHz-band for the realization of higher quality services. However, because rain attenuation above Ka-band increases dramatically, it is necessary to achieve advanced rain fade mitigation techniques. In this study, we propose adaptive control method using multi-beam satellite; link parameters such as transmission power are controlled based on weather condition in service area. In this report, we have shown the more effective methods to allocate the transmission power of each beam. |
