Evaluation of 429MHz band multiple folded Planar Inverted F Antenna near human body

(in English) It has been reported that the characteristics of an antenna built into a mobile communication terminal that is expected to be used near the human body are degraded by the human body, and that the electromagnetic wave radiated from the antenna causes a thermal effect on the human body. In addition, mobile communication terminals tend to be smaller and lighter, and inevitably require smaller antennas. One of the most typical small antennas is an inverted-F antenna, and PIFA (Planer Inverted-F Antenna) with a plate-like antenna element has a variety of miniaturization techniques. In previous research, 429MHz band MFPIFA (Multiple Folded Planer Inverted-F Antenna) has been proposed to be mounted on a remote control engine starter for vehicles. However, the characteristics evaluation near the human body has not been performed. In this paper, a 429MHz band MFPIFA is fabricated, and the reflection coefficient and radiation pattern near the human body are evaluated by simulation using the FDTD method and measurement using a real human body. The SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) is also evaluated by simulation.
