Basic experiment on single-shot detection of SQAM signal beam by transport-of-intensity equation method

(in English) Spatial quadrature amplitude modulation (SQAM) method which modulates intensity and phase of a signal beam, is a technique for increasing storage capacity of holographic data storage. We have proposed a method using the transport of intensity equation (TIE) method, which is one of the noninterferometric optical phase detection methods, for SQAM signal beam detection. However, the detection of SQAM signal beam by the TIE method requires diffraction intensity images on multiple planes on the optical path. In this paper, we propose a method of acquiring these multiple diffraction intensity images by a single imaging using a pixelated polarization camera and using it for SQAM signal beam detection by TIE method. We also verify the effectiveness of the proposed method through numerical simulations and a basic experiment.
