Effect of Data Allocation between Number of Pixels and Frame Rate for Subjective Quality of Motion Image under a Fixed Data Rate

(in English) In this study, we conducted a subjective evaluation using a stimulus-comparison method (adjectival categorical judgement method), in which subjects compared the quality of motion images captured and displayed in two video formats, 4K 60Hz and 2K 240Hz, at a fixed data rate. The results demonstrate an improvement in the image quality through appropriate data allocation between the number of pixels and the frame rate according to the moving speed of the object.
