Trancemission Performance Evaluation of an Advanced ISDB-T -- Fixed Reception Performance in SFN Environment --

(in English) We have been developing an advanced ISDB-T (Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting – Terrestrial) to provide 4K8K services via terrestrial broadcasting. To improve the utilization efficiency of frequency, it is required for terrestrial broadcasting system to build the network with SFN (Single Frequency Network) technology, that some transmitter stations use the same frequency. We have already verified the possibility of SFN in the advanced ISDB-T by a computer simulation, laboratory tests and practical field tests. In this paper, we evaluated the fixed reception performance of the advanced ISDB-T by the field tests in an SFN area built by 2 experimental stations, and reproduction experiments of field tests.
