Recently, physically-based fluid simulations can create realistic animations, but it’s computational cost is still large. To address this, if simulations can be limited to area where fluids exist, the computational cost can be reduced. Especially, when fluids combine/separate, the cost is largely reduced using multiple simulation spaces defined into small region. However, discontinuous of flows might occur around boundaries of overlapping regions of multiple spaces. To avoid such discontinuities, we aim to develop a simulation method to obtain smooth flows around the boundaries. |
