Gradation Image Display Technique for Grass Art

(in English) We propose a gradation image display technique to extend grass arts. The gradation can be changed according to the length of the grass. Then, we developed a prototype system that can change length of artificial grass quickly to show the gradation image. The display technique was based on a pin-based shape display. In demonstration, the grass display with 3x3 pixels shows some example gradation images. The technique is useful for public displays that protect nature landscape.
