Application of incoherent digital holography to rigid endoscopy

In recent years, endoscopic surgery has become widespread and the demand for the tissue examination during surgery has been increasing. When the incoherent digital holography, which uses self-interference optical system, is applied to the rigid endoscopy, the three-dimensional information of objects observed by the endoscope can be obtained. In this study, we propose a technique to record holograms of virtual images formed in the endoscope. We experimentally verified the proposed technique. |
