A Study on Broadcast Wave-Relay with an advanced ISDB-T using LDM for Hierarchical Transmission.

(in English) We have been developing an advanced ISDB-T to realize new services via terrestrial broadcasting. For the construction of broadcast network by an advanced ISDB-T, it is useful to utilize broadcast-wave relay as with ISDB-T. In current MFN broadcast-wave relay which uses different frequency between re-transmission signal and received signal, regenerative relay is widely utilized. The effectiveness of the regenerative relay has been confirmed to improve the deterioration of the signal quality due to fading and distortion of frequency characteristics by using the combination of channel equalization and symbol decision in the frequency domain. We have proposed applying the regenerative relay using soft decision replica to broadcast-relay with an advanced ISDB-T, have shown the effectiveness of the proposed method on computer simulation. In this paper, we propose scheme of soft decision optimized to an advanced ISDB-T using LDM for hierarchical transmission. Computer simulation verified the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
