We are conducting research on an advanced Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting - Terrestrial (advanced ISDB-T) to realize 4K/8K services for fixed reception and 2K service for mobile reception within a channel simultaneously. The advanced ISDB-T has many transmission parameters that can be selected, such as the carrier modulation, code rate of the forward error correction, FFT size, and Scattered Pilot (SP) pattern. We have already evaluated the fixed reception performance of each parameter of FFT size and SP pattern by computer simulation. In this paper, we verified the transmission performance by laboratory and field experiments, and it was confirmed that the SP pattern with the largest interval in the time direction for each FFT size was excellent in transmission performance in actual reception environments. |
