Transmission Performance Evaluation of an Advanced ISDB-T -- Evaluation of Time Interleaving in Fixed Reception --

(in English) We are currently developing an advanced Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting-Terrestrial (ISDB-T) system to provide simultaneously 4K/8K terrestrial broadcasting service for fixed reception and 2K service for mobile reception. We have already evaluated the fixed reception performance of the carrier modulation, code rate of the forward error correction, FFT size, and Scattered Pilot pattern. In this paper, we evaluated the transmission performance of time interleaving in fixed reception scenarios by simulation, laboratory, and field experiments. It was confirmed that the transmission performance was independent of the time interleaving length in a static fixed reception channel.
