Micro-lens and color filters are integrated on the surface of color image sensors for the improvement of the micro-lens efficiency and the color separation. From the aspects of pixel shrinkage, sensing function, small camera and cost reduction, various meta-micro-optics for image sensors have been developed to increase functionalities. In this report, first, the author reviews that developed image sensors with Photonic Color Filter which can separates incident light into visible light and near infrared light. Secondly, by the integration of on-chip micro-lens and inner diffractive grating lens to split incident light effectively according to incident direction, stereo-vision image sensor with a single camera-lens is introduced. |
