Developments of High-speed pan-tilt refocus camera

(in English) Recently, the performances of cameras have been improved. However, the mechanical systems have still been used for the pan-tilt and focusing functions. This study develops the high-speed pan-tilt refocus camera which can perform rapid pan-tilt function with continuous focusing, which can be applied to the security systems, the observation of rapidly moving objects, and the image data acquisition for AI. The proposed high-speed pan-tilt refocus camera consists of a wide field of view (FOV) lens array and a narrow-FOV lens array. The fast pan-tilt with large angles can be realized by shifting the lens arrays with an amount of the lens pitch of the lens arrays. The fast focusing can be realized by performing the refocusing calculation based on the light filed theory.
