Improvement of U-SDI Interface Interoperability for Full-featured 8K Production System

(in English) To improve the interoperability of a full-featured 8K production system, it is necessary to suppress jitter in Ultrahigh-definition Signal/Data Interface (U-SDI) and prevent the bit errors that occur in the transmission lines of their equipment. Typical routing switchers (routers) neither have the required tolerance for jittered U-SDI signals nor facilitate the generation of desirable output signals. To overcome these two problems, we first installed clock and data recovery boards on the back and front of the router board and then adjusted the amplitude and pre-emphasis of the output signals to minimize jitter. Upon testing this improved system, we found that the U-SDI signals generated from conventional full-featured 8K equipment could be transmitted inside the router without bit error.
