In Japan, the population is declining nationwide, and the aging of the population is accelerating. In addition, the rate of private car ownership is rapidly increasing, and the share of local public transportation, such as buses and railroads, has halved in the 34 years since 1975.In order to alleviate the "last mile" problem that has arisen in areas without public transportation, various alternative transportation initiatives are being undertaken by prefectures and municipalities.
In this paper, we focus on the time constraint and workload of ridesharing system of the "Nori-Ai Transportation Project" implemented in Yurihonjo City, Akita, and construct a system to reduce the burden. As a result of the demonstration experiment, we confirmed the usefulness of the system, which allows users and drivers to share information, make reservations, and operate the system in the same way as the current system in which reservations are made by telephone. |
