Curve Drawing Tool based on the Visualization of the Monotonic Curvature Region

(in English) In this study, we propose a method to change the shape of curves generated by κ-curves while maintaining the monotonicity of curvature by visualizing monotonic curvature regions. The visualization method of the monotonic curvature region can visualize the region of control points where the curvature is monotonically varying. The proposed method divides the curve generated by κ-curves at the curvature maxima and the curve is degree-elevated to cubic polynomial Bézier curves. In the proposed method, the shape of the curve is changed by moving the control point by visualizing the monotonic curvature region. In the developed curve drawing tool, users can modify the curve shape maintaining the monotonicity of curvature as well as G^1 continuity.
