Branch and Bound Learning Software in Line Balancing

(in English) The purpose of this study is to construct software for learning how to solve line balancing problems using the branch-and-bound method for teaching students about line balancing in production lines. Line balancing is the allocation of work time among the elements of a production line so that they are evenly distributed as work processes. The branch-and-bound method is a method that cuts branches according to conditions when searching for a solution using a search tree. In the developed software, the optimization procedure can be checked through interactive operations. In addition, it can be used for a variety of production lines because various production lines can be configured from a user-specified file.
