We have been studying an advanced studio-to-transmitter link / transmitter-to-transmitter link (STL/TTL) for Advanced Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting - Terrestrial (Advanced ISDB-T). In previous studies, we recognized that the delay time of the STL/TTL system was long, therefor we optimized transmission parameters such as LDPC code length and FFT size. In this study, we implemented the transmission parameters into prototype STL/TTL system aiming for a shorter delay time and evaluated its performance. We confirmed that the prototype reduced delay time by less than 6 ms while satisfying the required transmission capacity and CNR for quasi error free. |
