[Invited Talk] Quasiconformal Mapping and its Application -- Numerical Method and Application to Machine Learning --

(in English) Quasiconformal mapping is a natural generalization of conformal mapping and plays an important role in the areas of mathematics, such as Teichmüller spaces and complex dynamics. Furthermore, numerical methods of quasiconformal mapping were applied to problems in medical image processing of complex surfaces such as the grey matter in the brain. In this presentation, we will talk about the basic properties of quasi-conformal mapping and its applications. A numerical algorithm for quasiconformal mapping developed by R. Michael Porter and the author will be introduced as an example. We also talk about the machine learning methods using quasiconformal mapping by the author.
