Effect of Diameter of Transparent Spheres Introduced into AIRR Optical System on Improvement of Resolution

(in English) In the aerial imaging retro-reflection (AIRR) optical system with two transparent spheres conjugated together, the aerial image resolution is improved even when the diameter of the transparent spheres is changed, with the modulation transfer function (MTF) being the highest at positions other than the paraxial approximation focal length due to the effect of spherical aberration, with the MTF being higher for larger diameters. When the source display is placed at the paraxial approximation focal length, the diameter of the transparent sphere does not affect the resolution improvement and there is no significant difference in MTF.
