A study for realizing 3D VR Interface with a sense of agency by a self-view of body -- Spatial scaling size perceived during virtual cycling --

(in English) We devised a method for numerically estimating the spatial scaling size perceived when riding a bicycle in a 360-degree image projected in VR goggles. As a result of measuring, the defined α value (recognition size coefficient: if the size is recognized smaller than the actual size, the α value will also be small) of the experienced person depended on the projected position and size of the part of the body. On the other hand, the α value of both the experienced and the inexperienced person showed the same value for an unexpectedly small radius.
