An Examination on a Character Shaking Correction Method When Walking with AR Glasses

(in English) In recent years, augmented reality (AR) has started to be used in our daily lives, such as walking. On the other hand, head shaking during walking affects the readability and discomfort of displayed characters. There are two coordinate systems used for character display, a screen coordinate system and a world coordinate system, and there is a difference in the effective distance for character shaking correction. In this study, we investigated the effects of the screen coordinate system and the screen coordinate system combined with the world coordinate location information on the readability through subject experiments. The results showed that the readability and reading speed of the one that was combined with the world coordinate location information were significantly better than the screen coordinate system.
