Examination of Evaluation Method of Simultaneity in Human Motion

(in English) In recent years, ICT-based systems have begun to be used in the field of sports. The purpose of this study is to quantify the evaluation of simultaneity of movements between performers, which is an ambiguous scoring criterion in multi-person scoring competitions. In order to make a valid evaluation of simultaneity, we believe that it is necessary to analyze the movements of persons along a time series. In this study, we propose a method for evaluating simultaneity by extracting features of human posture using a Convolutional Autoencoder and comparing these features using DTW (Dynamic Time Warping), a time series data analysis method, and validate it using motion videos of multiple people. The feasibility of evaluating simultaneity by multiplying time series data analysis methods is discussed.
