Printed monopole antenna for circular polarization in UWB high band.

In this report, antenna using circularly polarization is proposed for radar application. For the application (body movement detection & monitoring system), the reflection coefficient must be less than -10dB, the transmission coefficient less than -40dB, the axial ratio less than 3dB, and the gain more than 4dBic in the UWB high band. The proposed antenna achieves the target specifications by decoupling path through a slotted cross element between the antenna grounds and adding a rectangular element on top of the reflector. The relationship between the rectangular element and antenna characteristics is clarified by simulation. |
