The development of teleconferencing technology has made it possible to hold discussions even in remote areas. However, in actual remote communication, the environment itself, such as through the use of a display screen, causes people to perceive the boundary between reality and images, which is thought to be a factor that hinders natural communication. In this study, using wide-area projection technology in a room, a remote room that does not exist on the spot is projection-mapped as if it exists continuously on the other side of the wall while overlapping with an actual room. The aim is to create a sensory experience in which visitors feel as if they are sharing a single space with each other, even though they are in separate rooms, without being affected by the display. |
