In recent years, the SC-FDE (Single Carrier - Frequency Domain Equalization) method, which is both highly efficient in power and robust against multi-path interference, has been attracting attention in mobile radio transmission. When relaying by the SC-FDE system using a single frequency with a booster, there is an advantage that a DF (Decode and Forward relay) system can be configured with no signal degradation caused by relaying. The authors have proposed a CLI (coupling loop interference) canceler that minimizes errors by calculating correlations between received and retransmitted signals, and have shown its effectiveness in low-order modulation [1]. However, there was a problem that the algorithm could not be applied for high-order modulation due to large steady-state errors after convergence. In this report, we propose a CLI cancellation algorithm using a unique word (UW) inserted as a reference signal in the SC-FDE transmit signal. We report on the results of computer simulations that steady-state errors can be reduced by the proposed system. |
