Image Division Based Interframe Prediction Method with Reduced Frame Memory for Ultra-Low-Latency Video-coding

(in English) In this paper, we propose a new inter-frame prediction method for Ultra-Low-Latency Video-coding. The proposed method reduces the frame memory size to 1/24 by dividing the image of the frame to be processed into vertical and horizontal sections, allocating a small memory area equally to each section, and storing only a very small number of images. In addition, by diversifying the images stored in memory using pixel value averaging, effective image prediction can be achieved for a larger number of images in the screen. Simulation results show that the system maintains a PSNR of 40.00dB or better with no visual degradation, and the compression ratio is 1.06pt higher than when using only the intra-frame prediction method.
