Development of aerial 3D display using portable holographic projector

(in English) It is desired to reduce the risk of contact transmission, one of the transmission routes of infectious diseases in the coronary disaster. For this reason, contactless aerial displays have been attracting attention. We have attempted to develop an aerial 3D display that displays three-dimensional real images using a holographic projector and a retroreflective sheet. However, the systems developed so far have been large in size. For practical use, it is desirable to reduce the size of the system and make it easy to move. In this study, we report on an aerial 3D display system that achieves miniaturization by using a holographic projector equipped with an inexpensive digital micromirror device.
