(in English) Glasses-free XR side by side talking system with a sense of real proximity using half-mirrors.
In order to realize the fusion of the real world and the cyber world (including remote), the local user and a life-sized avatar image through a half mirror are displayed side by side in a form such as sharing a seat, standing position, depth distance. is reproduced with binocular parallax and motion parallax, and using naked-eye AR technology with a high feeling of being in the same room. In addition, we will introduce the problems that we saw in the initial prototyping process, present various concrete proposals (currently patent pending) to solve them, and also describe application examples and usage examples using them. In addition, I will touch on the possibility of artificial tactile sensations induced by optical images, which was accidentally discovered during experiments with this system.
