Volume intersection method from handheld video using AR platform

(in English) The widespread use of smartphones has facilitated the shooting of multiple viewpoints of various subjects, and by integrating these images, it is expected that 3D situations can be acquired and visualized. In order to apply the cross volume method, which is one of the methods for 3D restoration from multi-view images, to images captured by smartphones, estimation of the camera position and posture during hand-held shooting is a problem. In this study, we propose a method for realizing volumetric intersection method in a hand-held shooting environment by acquiring the camera's position and posture using the AR functionality for smartphones. The external parameters of the camera are obtained and used from the camera position and posture estimation including position correction using markers. Experiments using the proposed method confirmed that the proposed method can acquire object outlines.
