We have been studying an advanced studio-to-transmitter link / transmitter-to-transmitter link (STL/TTL) for Advanced Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting - Terrestrial (Advanced ISDB-T). We have modified the advanced STL/TTL system to support the transmission of voice, Service Channel (SC) signal, etc. using Auxiliary Channel (AC) carriers. Using two sections of microwave STL/TTL in the Chukyo area, we investigated transmission characteristics of main lines Data carriers and AC carriers. As a result, in terms of the transmission characteristics, even in a situation where the received power dropped because of fading, the transmission was stable above the requirement received power., and we confirmed the usefulness of the designed transmission system. In this report we describe the latest development and verification status of advanced STL/TTL. |
