Downsizing and crosstalk reduction of high resolution autostereoscopic display with time multiplexed directional backlight

The authors propose a 15.6-inch autostereoscopic display that utilizes a directional backlight with interleaved lens array to present high-resolution stereoscopic images. In previous studies using this approach, the device was stationary and had a large size. In this research, by using a 15.6-inch LCD panel, the size was reduced, making it portable. Additionally, to address the issue of crosstalk caused by the slow response time of the liquid crystal, we proposed a four time division method with black frames inserted, which significantly reduced the crosstalk. |
