Development of large-capacity content transmitter for flexible providing immersive media cooperated with 12 and 21GHz-band satellite transmission channels and IP network

(in English) We have developed large-capacity content transmitter that bundles 12- and 21-GHz-band satellite channels and an IP network for providing immersive media such as volumetric content that is large capacity. This transmitter achieves a maximum transmission capacity of about 1 Gbps by transmitting a content to multiple transmission channels and network where the capacity and delay are different. We developed a sorting function that specifies the transmission channels or network in accordance with the objects of the content for immersive media that provides various content depending on viewer environments by producing content for each object. This function achieves to provide a flexible immersive media depending on the various viewer environment for each user by combining the objects of content received from available transmission channels or network.
In this paper, we show the transmission method and functions of the transmitter. Moreover, we evaluate the function for specifying transmission channels or network by laboratory experiment using an AR content.
